So, as you all will know (unless for some reason you don’t care what the date is) April is now over, and its time to look at all the best music that was released during the month, and I can tell you there were some crackers, so let’s crack on!
Kali Uchis: Isolation
Released right at the start of April, Kali Uchis’ debut album was an instant hit with myself, especially after hearing her before collaborating with one of my favourite artists, Tyler, The Creator. Some notable features on the album including Tyler himself and up and coming English artist Jorja Smith, ‘Isolation’ is a beautiful album, and Uchis is definitely one to look out for in the future.
ISLAND: Feels Like Air
Another one that was released at the start of the month, and another debut album! The band from London really show their talent on this one, portraying the promising future they most certainly have! Since my blog I have actually got tickets to see ISLAND live at the Bodega in Nottingham on May 19th and I cannot wait. Be sure to look out for pictures from that one!
Princess Nokia: A Girl Cried Red
Now this is an album I never actually got around to doing a blog on, but I’ve been listening to it and absolutely loving it. Princess Nokia is an American rapper, and her album ‘A Girl Cried Red’ is absolute gold. Hopefully I’ll get a blog out on her soon!
Franc Moody: Dance Moves EP
Franc Moody are definitely a group of musicians I’ll be doing a blog about soon. They are a London based collective that make electronic dance music, fairly similar to the funky band I did a previous blog on, Patawawa. Their new EP named ‘Dance Moves’ features 8 tracks of pure funk and head bopping beats. Be sure to look out for a blog incoming soon.
Phalcons: Swim Away
A new single from up and coming band Phalcons, brought to me by Beast PR. A dreamy track with some amazing vocals is sure to make you instantly love this band! Looking forward to hearing more music from these!
