An Interview With: |In The Cards|

Hello people, I know what you’re thinking, I said I was getting back on track with blogs and I’m even further behind, my apologies. So quite a while ago I was told about a band named ‘In The Cards’, and with their newest EP being released yesterday, I thought it would be cool to catch an interview with them with the help of Steph Knight from Domino PR. ‘In The Cards’ are a really band that combine rock style tunes with brilliant vocals, hailing from Stoke On Trent. I should of got this interview out sooner but I promise I will get back on track soon! Although I didn’t get to meet the band face to face they told me a bit about themselves and the EP!

Here is what they said when I asked them a few questions in a short interview on the road to their latest release:

For people who haven’t heard of you before, tell us who you are.

We are ‘In The Cards’ and we are a female fronted alternative rock quartet from Staffordshire.

How did the band form originally and what was the inspiration behind making music?

We have been playing music together since high school, where we were friends before, and over the years steadily evolved into what you see and hear today. As we became older our connection to music and relationship as band only became stronger to a point where we realised that this is what we want to do with our lives.

Who are the bands and artists that you look up to or are influenced by?

Although the list is forever growing and changing here are a few of our collective influences as a band: 30 Seconds to Mars, Paramore, Tonight Alive, Mallory Knox.

your new EP “Eyes Beyond Reflection” is set to release June 22nd, can you tell us a bit about the EP and the songs that feature?

We are beyond excited for the EP to be released and we feel that it is a perfect opportunity for people to get a much more solid idea of what kind of band we are. So far only two singles from the EP have been released, which is not a whole lot of music to listen to. We hope that the release of the full EP will help to further establish our identity within our audience and the industry.

Finally, what does the future hold for the band?

We aim to get back into the studio to begin our next musical endeavour!
