Sam Setton: ‘Gum’

What’s up gang, hope you are all doing well and having a great week so far. I have some awesome new music and content coming your way for the rest of this week and still have many submissions to catch up on so I’m sure there will be even more after that, but to start off the content this week (I know its Wednesday already) we have the new single ‘Gum’ from the brilliant Sam Setton.

The artist coming from New York combines the art of story telling with beautiful vocals and a luscious tune to make ‘Gum’, and its all about the love with this track. Sam has said that he named the track ‘Gum’ because love can be “so amazing but also fleeting,” reminiscent of “the burst of flavor when you first chew a piece of gum.”

We asked Sam a few short questions and here is what he had to say:

Who is Sam Setton and how would you describe your music?

Sam Setton is a new indie-pop artist who was born and raised in NYC. His music is a a collection of moody. pop slow burns with a hint of r and b.

What support have you received on your way to making music?

I’ve received a ton of press from outlets like Billboard, Ones to Watch and Earmilk. Apple Music and Spotify have included me on some great And of course, friends, family and fans have supported throughout this journey.

How much do you think blogs and magazines help when getting recognized as an artist?

I think they have exposed my music to a new audience of people who love music and are eager to discover new artists.

What do you think it takes to make it as a musician?

A lot of non stop hard work. Passion and patience.

Finally, what can we expect to see from you in the near future?

New music! More visuals and tour! So keep a lookout for Sam Setton in 2019.
